Poison Ivy Blend
This is one product that you want to have in your medicine cabinet BEFORE YOU NEED IT. The onset of poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac happens instantly and seemingly out of nowhere. The sooner you can begin treatment after coming into contact with these types of plants, meaning within a matter of hours, not days, the more likely you are to stop the symptoms as well as the spread.
Some plant species (stinging nettles, poison ivy, and so forth) contain irritants, and these can cause an allergic reaction, such as urticaria, or hives. Intense itching may be a problem, along with areas of raised, often flaky, red or white skin.
Directions: Wash affected area with soap and cold water as soon as you can, then apply Koru’s Poison Ivy Blend, diluted in aloe vera gel. For adults, use 10-12 drops for every ounce of the aloe vera gel. For children ages 4+, add 5-6 drops for every ounce of the aloe vera gel. Apply to itchy skin as often as needed. Seek medical help if condition fails to improve or worsens.
